Born 10th January 1926 to Ellen Stewart and William Bruce. Middle child of three. My big sister Jenny dies at aged 5 (R.I.P Sweetheart)with a burst appendicitis. My little sister May didn't have it easy either. She was blinded at 18mth. Throughout childhood attended blind school.Mum and Dad only had me full time.I left school at fourteen and had paper rounds, ? , rireys public house before settling on my career in the Navy. Went through WW2 losing many of my friends. Based aboard the World War Destroyers. My ship was called The Ashanti.
